5. Default lists

Default Lists in UI1

A default list ensures that certain recipients are always added to every emailing sent from the account. These lists will be added to each normal emailing.

Typical use cases include:

• A CEO who should receive all company emailings
• A marketing director who wants to review all outgoing emailings

To create a default list, go to Lists and Contacts → Target groups → Default Lists and click create default list (fig. 1).

Add a description and select a contact filter or create one using the method described in the Test Lists section (fig. 2).

Note 1: Use names and descriptions that clearly distinguish the list from test and approval lists.

Note 2: The number of usable contacts may be different from the result set of the contact filtering, because they may also contain blocked and unsubscribed contacts.

Contacts of the default lists are sent with all emailings.

For security reasons, a maximum of 2,500 contacts are taken into account by default.

Click Create default list (fig. 3).

Once the default list is active, the contacts in that list are automatically added to every emailing sent from the account (fig. 4).

Note: If the number of recipients differs from the original recipient list, this may indicate that a default list is active.
