Batch Adresscheck Results

Sie sind hier:
Column Test subject Explanation
A E-Mail Address The email address being verified.
B RFC Syntax This check verifies whether the email address adheres to RFC standards—for instance, ensuring that the „@“ symbol appears exactly once, that no invalid special characters are present, etc.
C Domain Syntax Certain email providers have their own specific rules. For example, a Gmail mailbox name cannot be shorter than 6 characters; for Gmail, a „local part“ (everything preceding the „@“ symbol) containing only five characters would be an immediate disqualifier. Thus, if a user enters a fake address such as 1234@gmail.com or test@gmail.com, it is identified as a fake address, and the status „does not exist“ is displayed.
D Domain Check This check uses DNS lookups to verify whether the specified domain actually exists (e.g., tonlline.de).
E Domain Recommendation 1 This column is usually empty; it populates only if the syntax check in a previous column has failed. In such cases, recommendations are drawn from a database currently comprising approximately 500,000 domains. The customer must decide for themselves—and at their own risk—whether to utilize this suggested result; we are not permitted to automatically correct the email address.
F Domain Recommendation 2
G Domain Recommendation 3 Additional recommendations for domain correction.
H Mail Server Check This is also a DNS-based check verifying whether the domain is technically capable of receiving emails; specifically, it checks for the presence of an MX record within the domain’s DNS entries. If no MX record is found, it is highly probable that the domain cannot technically receive any email whatsoever. If this column displays „No,“ it indicates that the Mail Server Type is „Unknown.“
I Mail Server Type „truthful“:
Indicates that the mail server responds truthfully (i.e., provides accurate status updates).

„greylist“:Refers to mail servers that do not respond to incoming requests immediately, but instead issue a „soft bounce“ (a temporary rejection) first. This is a temporary anti-spam measure implemented by the web server operators; these email verifications are deferred and re-checked at a later time.

Unknown:Indicates that the mail server type could not be verified.

“Always yes”:

J Mailbox checked Indicates whether an email address has been verified via an SMTP query.
K Mailbox exists This is the most important column! It displays the calculated result derived from the preceding checks and columns.

Exists: Should definitely be imported.

Unverifiable: There may be various reasons—such as technical DNS errors—why this result appears. Whether or not the client chooses to import these addresses is at their own discretion. In an estimated 60–70% of these cases, the emails will still result in bounces.

Does not exist: All addresses with this status should no longer be imported or sent emails, as they will bounce with near-absolute certainty.

L First Name Displays a first name extracted from the „local part“ (the portion before the „@“ symbol) of the email address. Essentially, a text string is cross-referenced against a database of first names. Clients can decide whether or not to import these names—particularly if they do not already have first names recorded in their data. This allows for the creation of personalized salutations in such cases.
M Gender Differs between male (M) and female (F)
N First Name Age Prediction This field contains a numerical value derived from a statistical database; it calculates the average age profile associated with the specific first name. Note: This metric is not necessarily highly reliable or indicative.
O Name Day An identifier used to trigger automated actions (triggers) on a person’s „Name Day“ (the feast day associated with their name). The Maileon Event Calendar offers a feature that utilizes this function.
P Public profile
Q Role Address Identifies email addresses that are not assigned to a specific individual, but rather to a functional role (e.g., info@, webmaster@, etc.).
R Bounce Domain Risk Uses an internal database to check whether any bounces have recently been recorded for the specific domain in question.
S Spamtrap Check Checks the list for potential spamtraps; matches are relatively rare here. However, if one does occur, the client should investigate how the address entered their database (e.g., flawed DOI process or outdated lists?). If the result is „Yes“ = Spamtrap detected.
T Robinson List Check Identifies addresses that do not wish to receive mailings. In Austria, this is even a statutory requirement (via the RTR list).
U Bot Address Risk The detection rate is very low, as bot addresses are frequently rotated by users.
V Disposable Address Disposable email addresses (e.g., Mailinator); the client can delete these immediately (these are fake addresses with no commercial value).
W Nayoki Opt-Out List A specialized, additional Robinson list.
X Webmailer/ISP/Telco domain (WIT) Indicates email addresses that base on a public telecommunication provider (e.g. Deutsche Telekom, A1 Telekom Austria, Yahoo! Deutschland GmbH, etc.)
